This highly integrated and cost-effective Fast Ethernet controller that provides USB to Fast Ethernet capability. Fully compliant with IEEE 802.3u 100Base-T specifications and IEEE 802.3x Full Duplex Flow Control. It also supports power management for modern operating systems that is capable of Operating System Directed Power Management (OSPM) to achieve the most efficient power management. Besides the PM feature, it also supports remote wake-up (including AMD Magic Packet, LinkChg, and Microsoft� wake-up frame).

The USB 2.0 10/100 FastEthernet Adapter provides plug-and-play 10/100Mbps dual speed Ethernet connection for PCs, notebooks and laptops. The device complies with USB Specification 2.0, 1.0 and 1.1. It uses an USB type A connector to connect to the USB host computer, and a RJ-45 connector to a 100Base-TX or 10Base-T Ethernet link. This low power-consuming device draws power from host USB bus, thus no external power supply is required.

This adapter keeps network maintenance cost low and eliminates usage barriers, as it is the easiest way to connect a PC to the computer network without opening the cover, adding cards, Etc. Ideal for USB capable desktop, notebook & laptop PC's.

In this instance you should consider a PCI, ISA or CardBus network card.
